The Darker the Room, The Brighter the Match

New york city nights
with all its lights
You'd think it'd be so splendor and bright
Yet sadly there's so much darkness in sight
Everywhere you look
Evil clouds. The cities shook
My heart aches
But I know His breaks
For how His children live or rather don't
There so stubborn hearts won't
Let go of the world
We witness its lure
And refuse it to give glory
Blessed with the absence of sorry
Block by block
The more I walk
the lantern flickers
And ignites some hope
Onto the city slickers
Avenue by avenue
They ignore what's true
But the darker the room
The brighter a single match can do
